The MV Black Manta is a 32-meter steel hull liveaboard with 10 en suite, air con cabins accommodating up to 20 guests. The vessel was refurbished in 2007 and offers a master cabin with a king sized bed, one bunk bed and a sofa (groups of 4 or families), four cabins have a queen sized bed and a double bunk above (single or double occupancy), two double bed cabins for couples and two twin cabins (shared bathroom) for couples or singles. Cabins are cleaned daily. All en suite cabins have hot and cold water.

 From November to April, the Black Manta operates 4 day/ 4 night live boards in Phuket’ surrounding premier dive sites. These diving sites include the Simian Islands, Koh Bon, Tachai and the Richeleu Rock all located North West of Phuket in the waters of the Andaman Sea.

 Liveaboards depart from Thap Lamu near Khao Lak and a free shuttle service to and from Phuket is included in the cost.

 With state of the art facilities, full safety equipment, large lounge area, fully stocked dive deck, ice maker and internet access and massage service to offer, this Phuket liveaboard offers more than standard facilities.

Full boat details are 10 cabins (1 master, 8 deluxe, 1 twin), large air con salon/lounge with flat screen TV and entertainment system. This area also has seating and tables for all guests. On the first deck there is a large outdoor terrace and dining area. On the second deck there is a partially shaded sun deck for sun lovers. Up front, there are cushioned benches or you to observe the horizon and ocean.

This is a larger than average boat and one of the largest liveaboards in Phuket and Thailand. She is very well maintained and cleaned every day. Meals are buffet style self-service where the food is both excellent and plentiful.

The dive deck is clean and large with individual tank racks and storage space beneath the racks. Nitrox and Trimix can be mixed on board and gas tanks are filled from the on board compressors.

The crew is well trained and courteous. They focus on first class customer service so if you have any special requests please let them know in advance. The crew is Thai while the dive masters are a mix of Thai and foreign PADI qualified instructors.

Scuba diving courses can be delivered in ANY language (French Spanish Italian, German, Chinese, Korean, Japanese) if you let us know at the time of booking.
