Diving Thailand - Phuket Liveaboards
Scuba diving in Phuket has been popular since the 1970’s and over the years Phuket liveaboards have developed a reputation for excellent boats visiting world class dive sites.
Standards are high for Thailand liveaboards and Phuket liveaboards are at the forefront of these high standards.
Many of the diving boats have been recently refurbished. Most have air con cabins and exceptional food, service and facilities.
Liveaboard
cruises can be taken for just 1 night up to 11 nights and you can choose from
up to 15 boats.
4 day/night
liveaboards normally take in the Similan
Islands, Koh Bon, Tachai
and Richelieu Rock. All these dive sites are located North West of Phuket in
the waters of the Andaman
Sea.
Liveaboards
longer than 4 days take in all the dives of a 4 day/night cruise with the addition
of diving in the unspool Mergui Archipelago in Burma.
Shorter 2/3 day/night liveaboards can be taken to the Similan Islands and around, but also south of Phuket to the Racha Islands, Phi Phi and Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.
Phuket Liveaboards are open to experienced divers and non-divers. Most boats provide snorkeling equipment and transfers to isolated beaches using the boats dinghies.
You can join the liveaboards to dive or visit the islands, and you can upgrade your skills through taking some of the many diving courses offered on board.
All boats meet strict government safety regulations and are staffed by qualified dive masters, instructors, and friendly Thai crew.
Needless to say, the food is excellent and the scuba diving in Thailand is world class.
Costs for Phuket liveaboards vary according to the standard of boat and the duration of your cruise.
You can book a 4-day/night liveaboard for US$ 600 – 1000 and a longer 8-day/night cruise for between US$ 1500 – 3000.
Whatever your reason to book a liveaboard in Phuket Thailand, you are guaranteed to have a memorable experience.
